We are just (as of late May 2009) starting out life as a real-world book club based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney in Australia.

The general idea  is not new:

• us girls will meet at a pre-determined spot, at someone’s house
• there we will talk about The Book we have just read
• we will drink wine
• we will eat cheese and other nice foods
• we will laugh and sometimes shriek
• we may talk a bit about men
• we will talk about other books we may have read
• we will talk about the next book we should all read
• we will go home happy
